Privacy Policy

SharpMettle (“we”) provides interview readiness services for software engineers. This policy explains how we handle your personal data, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Last updated: 4 September 2026

What we collect

When you request a free assessment, we collect your name, email address, current role, experience details, your answers to our intake questions, and your resume.

Why we collect it

Solely to prepare and deliver your interview assessment — and, only if you separately opt in, to contact you about relevant job opportunities or placement support.

What we never do

We do not sell your data. We do not disclose it for advertising. We do not pass it to recruiters or employers without your consent.

Where your data lives

Submissions are collected through Google Forms and stored in Google Workspace. Your data sits in a dedicated, access-restricted business account protected by two-factor authentication. Within SharpMettle, only SharpMettle has access.

Google acts as a processor for that storage and is bound by its own terms. No other third party receives your data.

How long we keep it

Your resume and intake details are deleted within 90 days of delivering your assessment, unless you ask us to keep them or opt in to placement contact.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 7 working days. You may withdraw any consent the same way.

Grievances

If you believe your data has been mishandled, contact [email protected] with “Grievance” in the subject line. Concerns that remain unresolved may be escalated to the Data Protection Board of India, as provided under the DPDP Act.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page; the date above reflects the current version.
